NiCd battery charging was created by dynamics

With regard to Saft NiCd battery Models 40176-4 or -7, how is constant current charging by solely using Sorenson power supply DCR-40-70B, different from constant current charging with load bank by using Sorenson power supply DCR-40-70B with Ohmite L225J5ROE?

A load bank is used to test a battery. A Ohmite is a resistor used for load testing.
