Some Avionics OEM use weird terminology for interchangeable parts including ALT (alternate),REPL BY (interchangeable and replaced by) and REPL (Interchangeable and replaces). would you please give a through explanation of the differences?
I do not have access to the CMM as a function of my job.
The terminology sounds familiar with the IPC.
ALT or alternate - Part can be used instead of original.
Repl By, interchangeable, or replaced by - Use the replaced by part number if available. Can still use original part number.
REPL - Same as previous sentence.
