Do you have any idea on what following message on PFD mean?:

One of the program pins is missing or you have a broken wire from one of those pins.

Parity wires are either hooked to each other or to ground.

If you have a correct wiring print, those wires can be checked fairly quickly with a ohm meter.

This wiring issue could be at the display or Symbol Generator Unit. Switching to the alternate SGU should help you out. If the fault goes away.... your issue is with the original (on-side) SGU. If the problem stays.... then look at the display plug pins or wiring.

Could you please clarify the meaning of 'programme pins' as referenced in the attached file?
The file has just been transmitted to you by email.

Program pins are a set of pins that are attached together. They tell the box such things as "what type of aircraft am I installed on" - " I should be looking for 3 IRS inputs" - "what radio altimeter type inputs do I receive" - "what my outputs should be".....

Aircraft computers can be installed on numerous aircraft types. Each box can have numerous inputs and outputs.

Program pins "tell" the box "how" to work on the aircraft type it's installed on.

The email you sent shows that the SGU's use "odd" parity.

What's that is telling you is the total number of jumpers is 3,5,7,9,11,13,15..... odd numbers.

If you had 9 and a wire broke.... you now have 8. The box sees an even number of jumpers and throws a fault.

Actually, one of the parity pins tells the box if it's looking for a odd or even number.

Are the program pins in the Boeing 737-300 aircraft analogue, or are they digital in nature?

There is no data on the pins.

They're just wires hooked together.

In other words, they have continuity with each other.

How is the interconnection of programme pins represented in hexadecimal, as outlined in the emailed document?

I cannot answer that question.

Your Email states:

To repair the problem, do an EFIS self test in EFIS
BITE. The offside EADI will report the correct
hexadecimal code for your airplane. The code is also in
the maintenance manual. Find the digit in the
hexadecimal code that changed. The maintenance manual
will show which program pin changed.

Your Maintenance Manual will show what is proper.

Would you be so kind as to clarify the meaning of the text highlighted with a red square in the table attached to the email I sent a few minutes ago?
