Aloha Airlines Crash

Regarding Aloha 737-200 crash, what does NTSB mean by "departure" in the sentence:"the skin has been torn but the departure direction was unclear"?
 

Did it rip straight back?
Pull off left, right?

In other words, which way did it depart the aircraft.

"From the top center of the fuselage to S-10R the fractures in the stringers and deformed rivets indicated that the separated structure was pulled directly forward. In the vicinity of S-11R, a small area of structure had been pulled forward and up. Bellow S-11R, the skin had been torn but the departure direction was unclear"
